Redirecting business mail
Redirect your business mail in full or part

We offer special solutions to our business customers for redirecting their mail. In addition to traditional and longer-term redirection of all business mail to another company address, our business customers can also selectively redirect mail. More specifically: they can determine which consignments they wish to receive at another destination address and for how long.

Daily and weekly newspapers
Redirect newspapers during your holidays or suspend delivery

The publisher is responsible for redirecting newspapers to your holiday address or temporarily suspending your subscription.

Issue an order to your publisher

Click on the relevant newspaper and select “Forward subscription” or “Suspend subscription” to issue the desired order to the relevant publisher.

Ideally, you should issue your order once you are certain of the time at which the order should take effect.If you issue us your order later than four working days prior to its intended start, please submit it no later than 11 p.m. We can only ensure the order takes effect on the following day if you comply with this deadline. Such an order would be an express order, surcharge: CHF 10.

If you do not yet have a login for swisspost.ch verified by mail, orders will require at least four days’ prior notice.

There are three options for issuing us with your order.

Issue the order online

You can place your order at any time online. To do so, you simply require a Login Swiss Post verified by mail.

If you do not have a Swiss Post Customer Login and do not wish to register, the following two options for issuing an order are available to you:

Issue the order at the counter

You can place your order at the counter of your nearest Swiss Post branch. Please ensure you bring a valid ID with you.

Issue the order using a form

You will also find a solution in a branch with partner. On request, you can obtain the necessary forms to place your order. Please observe the notes when filling in, signing and sending back the form to us, and include a copy of your ID in the enclosed envelope.

Orders can be given an end date or left to run until revoked (max. three months). For business customers with a billing relationship there is no maximum duration.

Yes, addressed letter mail can be redirected to addresses abroad. Court documents, parcels and military consignments are not forwarded abroad. The range of offers for “Selectively redirect mail” for business customers also exclude redirection abroad.

Debt collection documents can only be forwarded within the debt collection district.

The following are generally excluded from forwarding:

  • Domestically and abroad: consignments with a poste restante or military address, Innight consignments to be delivered as part of general area delivery services, PromoPost consignments and free newspapers.
  • Abroad: court documents, debt collection documents, parcels and consignments with military addresses.

It is our aim to ensure the service runs smoothly. However, mistakes are sometimes made. Contact us with your complaint so that we can take action to prevent this from happening in the future. However, please note that private delivery businesses also deliver consignments in larger cities and conurbations. As such, you may find that consignments arrive in your letter box despite setting up an order with Swiss Post.

Alternatively, you can modify or cancel your order by telephone up to two days prior to its expiry: +41 848 888 888 (CHF 0.08/min. from landline phones within Switzerland).

Daily newspapers are often delivered by private delivery businesses. In this case, the newspaper will be delivered despite the order. Inform your daily newspaper of the forwarding order. If the newspaper is delivered by Swiss Post, this will of course be forwarded.

To redirect mail in the event of death, please notify one of our branches. Setting up such an order involves special conditions and prices. You will also need to present one of the following forms of identification:

  • inheritance certificate/heir’s certificate
  • notarized authorization (valid after death)
  • family record book
