With the API PickPost and My Post 24, you can easily integrate flexible receipt options into your online shop. By doing so, your customers can select all Swiss Post access points (branches, My Post Service collection points and parcel terminals) that offer the ”PickPost and My Post 24” service as alternative receipt options during the checkout process.

How to integrate the PickPost and My Post 24 services
By integrating the “PickPost and My Post 24” service into your online shop via an API, you can enable your customers to receive their orders wherever it is convenient for them.
The integration includes two components:
- Swiss Post “Location search” map application or display on your own map
- Integration of the Digital Commerce API with the API module PickPost / My Post 24
The digital commerce products offer you even more interesting modules for your shipping options.
The integration of the PickPost and My Post 24 services into your online shop is completed in three steps.
First step: integration of location selection
You offer your customers the choice of alternative delivery or collection points during the checkout process via a map application. Your customers choose a suitable collection point with the corresponding service that is offered at this access point.
Second step: interaction of the interface between the location selection by your customer in the online shop checkout process and the API.
After your customer selects the delivery point on the map, the customer number is retrieved. At this point, you will receive what we call the User IDs (customer number) that you require to address their consignment correctly.
For the customer to be notified and the consignment to be delivered reliably, the PickPost / My Post 24 User ID must always be used together with the location address in the delivery address and transmitted electronically to Swiss Post together with the consignment data in the appropriate data fields.
Third step: creation of the parcel label
After integrating a map and the API interface PickPost / My Post 24, the PickPost and My Post 24 services and the selection of the receipt location will be seamlessly integrated into your checkout process.
It is important that you can distinguish between home/invoicing addresses and delivery addresses in your online shop checkout process.
The user ID can be changed by the customer and therefore needs to be retrieved again each time.
