The “Sort out mail” service enables you to define an internal group of recipients, which receives its mail in a bundle separate from the rest of your incoming mail. Another possibility is to separate internal recipients from one another so that your business mail is received already sorted according to several receiving stations.

Sorting out mail according to recipient group

You define at least one addressing feature, such as a department name, which receives a large portion of incoming mail. The correspondingly addressed mail items will be bundled together and handed over to you separately from the rest of the mail. This even more cost-effective version of the service does not allow for more precise preliminary sorting.

Swiss Post separates letters sent to the internal recipients “Marketing Department” and “Finance Department” and delivers them separate from the other mail.

Sorting out mail according to addressees (with separation)

You define several addressing features, such as the names of various departments and other internal receiving points. Swiss Post sorts the correspondingly-addressed items according to these criteria and hands them over to you separately. Items are separated using separator cards in mail bundles, delivery in separate containers or rubber bands.

Swiss Post separates letters sent to the internal recipients “Marketing Department” and “Finance Department”, separates them from one another and delivers them separate from the other mail. You can determine as many internal reception points as you wish.

Who is this service for? Preconditions

The “Sort out mail” service is a service for business customers who have a billing relationship, and works on a contract basis.

The “Sort out mail” service is available for receipt of letters at locations in Switzerland. It encompasses all traditionally-addressed letter items.

Types of consignment excluded from the “Sort out mail” service: 

  • Parcels, Swiss-Courier consignments, consignments with a poste restante or military address, Innight consignments, PromoPost consignments and free newspapers 
  • Letters with barcode are not covered by the service, as handover is always separate
