Data protection and disclaimer
Data collected from visitors to this website whilst using the Swiss Post Customer Center Login (“Login”), the Post-App and the Swiss Post services offered via the Internet (“online services”) is processed by Post CH Ltd (“Swiss Post”, “we” or “us”) in its capacity as both provider of this website and a service provider. The above-mentioned services will be referred to hereinafter as the “digital presence”. Further details about Post CH Ltd are available from the About us section of the website.
Protection of your personal data is of great importance to us. We therefore, as a matter of routine, handle your personal data responsibly and in compliance with the applicable statutory data protection provisions and postal legislation.
1 Who is the owner of the data collected?

2 What data do we collect?
2.1 Automatic logging
Our web servers automatically log every visit in a temporary log file. User-specific data (such as the IP address of the requesting computer, identification data of the browser used, the operating system of the requesting computer, the amount of data transferred, the name of the Internet Service Provider, the date and time of access) and technical data (such as the name and URL of the referring web page when the website was accessed via a link and, additionally, the search term if it was accessed via a search engine) are logged and analysed anonymously. First and foremost, this data is needed to enable the use of our content (connection set-up), and is also used for system-related purposes, such as technical administration and system security.
We do not use your data for any other purposes, unless you have given your express consent to additional data processing when using certain services.
2.2 Additional data processing
In order to use some of our online services, you must first register for the Login with some personal data. These services are then used in accordance with a contractual agreement and the associated Subscriber Conditions or General Terms and Conditions (GTC). In addition, we only process personal data when you decide to send it to us; for example, by filling out an online form or sending us a message via the contact forms.
In these cases, we will only ask you to provide the personal data we require to perform the services we provide. The information you provide us with will be recorded in our IT systems.
3 How do we use your data?
Collecting data helps us to develop and improve our digital presence and to optimize our range of services. We will use the data we collect about you for the following purposes:
- to enable your use of the digital presence (establishing a connection);
- for internal, system-related purposes, such as technical administration and system security;
- for statistical purposes, in order to enable us to tailor the digital presence more closely to your needs through the anonymous evaluation of general user behaviour (see section 4.3 below);
- to provide logins, online services and contractually-compliant processing of these services.
4.1 What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file containing data for technical session logging, a pre-login to the app and, in particular, the identification of your browser for the duration of your visit to the digital presence. Cookies also allow us to tailor the digital presence to your interests and to improve its functionality.

The personal data processed is not transferred to third parties or otherwise transmitted without your express consent. This excludes data passed on to other companies within the Swiss Post Group, however.
We will retain your information for no longer than necessary and it will remain confidential. This excludes the transmission of personal data to governmental institutions and authorities as well as to private persons with a right thereto based on statutory regulations, court orders or regulatory decisions, as well as its transfer to governmental institutions for the purposes of taking legal action or prosecution should our legally protected rights be challenged.

6.2 Amendment, blocking and deletion / withdrawal of consent

If the deletion of any data is not permitted for statutory or contractual reasons or by commercial or tax law, in particular by statutory retention periods, the data will be blocked instead of deleted.
7 How secure is your data?
The data we collect and save is treated confidentially and, using appropriate technical and organizational precautions, protected from loss or manipulation as well as from unauthorized access by third parties.
Login information exchanged between your hardware and us is encrypted. We do not accept liability for any unauthorized access or loss or personal data that is beyond our control.
All those who access information published on this website, when logging in to the Swiss Post Customer Center, when using the Post-App or when using services offered via the Internet, accept the following conditions. The above-mentioned services will be referred to hereinafter as the “digital presence”.

E-mails or forms sent via the Internet are neither confidential nor secure and can be viewed and modified by third parties. Swiss Post Ltd shall not be liable for damages arising from messages sent to it via unsecured e-mail or other messages sent electronically (SMS, etc.).

The entire contents of the digital presence are protected by copyright (all rights reserved). Downloading or printing out individual pages or parts of the digital presence is permitted provided that this is for private use and not for commercial purposes and provided that the copyright notice or other legally protected names or symbols are not removed.
Complete or partial reproduction, transmission (by electronic or any other means), modifications, links or use of the Swiss Post website for public or commercial purposes are prohibited without the prior written consent of Swiss Post.
The designation “Swiss Post” and the corresponding logos and other product and services designations are registered trademarks of Swiss Post Ltd. No part of the digital presence is designed in such a way that a right to use of an image, registered trademark or logo is granted.
Swiss Post cannot guarantee that the digital presence will function without interruption or errors, that errors will be rectified or that the digital presence and corresponding server are free of viruses or harmful components.
Swiss Post does not assume any liability for any damage or loss arising as a result of accessing or using items within the digital presence (or as a result of the impossibility of accessing or using such items or as a result of viruses, etc.).
Although Swiss Post exercises maximum diligence to ensure that the information available via the digital presence is accurate at the time of publication, neither Swiss Post nor your contractual partner shall warrant for or provide any guarantee for its accuracy, reliability or completeness. The information and views appearing in the digital presence may be changed at any time without prior notice.
Swiss Post has not tested the websites linked to the digital presence and accepts no responsibility for their content or for the products, services or other offers they include.
Applicable law / jurisdiction
To the extent admissible by law, all legal relationships between the users of this digital presence and Swiss Post shall be subject to substantive Swiss law. The sole place of jurisdiction is Berne.
