Identifying and tracking letters

1. You log in to the “Create postage paid impressions” online service.
2. You are importing your recipient addresses.
3. We generate the data matrix code.

Good to know: we can generate a maximum of 10,000 data matrix codes per address upload. If you are planning larger mailings, it is best to contact a print service provider or letter shop. Alternatively, you can create the data matrix codes with your own software.

You can choose from the following options:

• Digitization
• Disposal (simple and/or qualified)
• Redirect mail

To post PP-franked consignments with Letter ID or Letter ID light, use the dispatch list. This is nothing more than a delivery note. For consignments with Letter ID, enter the consignments using the “PP franking with Letter ID” dispatch type and enter the order number integrated into the data matrix code. For consignments using Letter ID light, simply enter “postage paid impression” as the “Dispatch type”.

Set up the electronic “DataTransfer” interface. You can find more information on the page “DataTransfer”.

You can create orders for notifications in your Swiss Post Customer Login. There are various options for this under “Active Letter ID notification”. As soon as a consignment reaches the status about which you wish to be informed, you receive a status message.

Useful to know: you can create orders for notification in advance and hand over your letters to Swiss Post later.
