With the “Personal delivery” value-added service, Swiss Post ensures that your registered letter is handed over to the recipient in person. Delivery is made to natural persons only and an acknowledgement of receipt is provided.

The “Personal delivery” value added service can be used in combination with the following basic services for both domestic and international letters.

For business customers with a billing relationship

Important information

Mail item with the “Personal delivery” value-added service must be labelled with a consignment barcode and the “RMP” sticker. Consignments that are not yet ready for dispatch are labelled by Swiss Post employees when posted in the branch.

Add the “A remettre en main propre” (personal delivery) remark to the international consignment above the address, or a similar remark in the official language of the country.

Items for personal delivery may only be addressed to natural individual persons. The first name of the recipient must be written out in full.

When addressing mail to the business address of a natural person, Swiss Post cannot guarantee personal delivery to the intended addressee. Your consignment will, in any event, be handed over to an authorized agent.

The return receipt provides proof that a registered letter has been correctly delivered. The sender receives this written confirmation by A Mail once the consignment has been successfully delivered.
