DigitalStamp: franking in the Post-App

You can use DigitalStamp in the Post-App if:

• You have installed the latest version of the Post-App on your smartphone.
• You have saved a common payment method (direct debit, e-finance, credit card or TWINT).
• You have an active Internet connection.
• You have an account in the “My Post” customer portal.

Customers can now create parcel labels digitally via Post-App. There is no need to label parcels by hand. You can then decide whether you wish to print out and affix the parcel labels yourself or have them printed out for you conveniently at a nearby Swiss Post branch. Whichever option you choose, you’ll benefit from an online discount.

The parcel code and parcel label are valid for ten days after payment. They are shown under the “Current” tab in the Post-App. They expire after ten days. Orders are automatically moved to the “Completed” tab.

No, standard A4 paper is sufficient. The printed parcel label must then be affixed to the parcel.

Customers can present the parcel code for printing at all Swiss Post branches and at selected partner branches with staffed counters.

To provide support with this, the location search is integrated into the order process in the Post-App. While customers are creating the parcel labels, the location search shows their nearest place of posting based on their current location.

Just like the letter code, the parcel code cannot be written directly on the parcel for mailing. A parcel label containing the sender, recipient and consignment number must always be used. The label can be printed out by the customer or at the counter in a branch. This is the only way to enable track and trace.

If the parcel labels are created and paid for in advance via the Post-App, customers receive the online discount. There is no online discount for franking letters via the Post-App.

Yes, you can also scan the parcel code at a My Post 24 terminal with a display and have your parcel label printed. Stick the label on the largest side of the parcel and place the parcel in the relevant compartment.

Yes. To use the service, customers need to log in via their Login with SwissID. If you don’t have a Login, it takes only a few minutes to register. Address verification is not required.

No, only private customers can use the new franking solution in the Post-App. Business customers must use their private Swiss Post Customer Login to access DigitalStamp.

No, customers can only frank individual items with DigitalStamp via the Post-App. If you want to frank several parcels or letters at the same time, you can use the “WebStamp” or “Domestic parcel labels” online services.

Your last three orders are shown on the homepage. Clicking on one of these orders takes you directly to the detailed view of the order. All orders are also listed in your profile under “My activities”.

The receipts can be viewed via the “Domestic parcel labels” online service. The Post-App provides an overview of current and completed orders only.

If you are unable to complete your order, please check the homepage in the Post-App or “My activities” in your profile to see whether you can find the order and open it again. If the order has been completed, you will see the parcel label/code there.

If no order appears, you should begin the order process again.

If you encounter any further problems, please contact Customer Service. Describe the problem accurately, including details of the time, payment method and type of mobile phone used.

With DigitalStamp, you can frank letters and parcels via the Post-App. This is a franking-only solution, which means it depends on the franking whether you can track an item.

With DigitalStamp, you can frank A Mail and B Mail letters. These do not offer track and trace. If you want to track letter mail, we recommend A Mail Plus or registered mail.

You can also frank parcels via DigitalStamp. You can track parcels as usual using the consignment number in the Post-App or online. All parcel franking that you have carried out remains in your account as current or completed orders.
