What counts as bulky goods
- Consignments over 100 cm in length or with 2 dimensions greater than 60 cm
- Consignments posted with a special tag
- Unpackaged consignments

Rich Content Section
Certain goods may not under any circumstances be handed to Swiss Post for transport without packaging due to the risk of injury, soiling, damage or loss. Such consignments must be fully packaged, e.g. in cardboard boxes, shipping boxes or suitable bags.
Ineligible unpacked consignments (list is not exhaustive)
- Dirty objects (dust, oil, soil, sticky, etc.)
- Bicycles, wheelbarrows
- General sports equipment such as skis, hockey sticks, dumbbells
- Pointed or sharp objects such as cutting devices or wire fencing; it is not sufficient to protect just the blades or points.
- Objects sent without packaging that are not fixed in their form, such as unbundled ladders, loose cables/hoses, individual glass or PET bottles (empty or full), etc.
- Open plants
- Filled crates and boxes without a lid, even if protected with foil
Who is this service for & Preconditions
Bulky goods can be used for both private and business customers.
Combination options
Bulky goods consignments can be sent at different delivery speeds:
- For delivery the same working day (Mon–Fri) as a SameDay consignment;
- For delivery by 9 a.m. the next day (Mon-Fri) as Bulky goods “Moon”;
- For delivery by 5 p.m. the next working day (Mon–Fri) as Bulky goods Priority;
- For delivery on Saturday as Bulky goods Priority with the “Saturday delivery” value-added service;
- For delivery by 5 p.m. on the next-but-one working day (Mon–Fri) as Bulky goods Economy.

A 15% discount is granted on parcel labels created via the “Domestic parcel labels” online service or at a My Post 24 terminal (PostPac Priority, PostPac Economy and bulky goods). Bulky goods cannot be posted at My Post 24 terminals.

A 10% discount is granted on parcel labels created via the “Domestic parcel labels” online service (PostPac Priority, PostPac Economy and bulky goods). This discount will also apply to consignments with data delivery via DataTransfer, “Barcode” web service and Digital Commerce API.
Surcharges for business customers
For parcels with weights and dimensions differing from the maximum weights and dimensions for standard parcels and bulky goods, we apply expense-related surcharges starting from CHF 100.00. We reserve the right to limit the range of services for such consignments. If we cannot deliver the consignment, you will be required to pay the same surcharge for return shipment. No surcharge is applied for forwarding operations.
