With ThermoCare Cold, you can send medicines maintained at an ambient temperature range of between 2°C and 8°C. The ThemoCare Box is GDP certified and is transported in the mass market parcel and express channel, reaching recipients throughout Switzerland on the following day, usually by 10 a.m., or by no later than 9 a.m. as an express item.

Here’s how it works

Ordering

Request the required number of ThermoCare Boxes using the «Order Dispoboxes» online service. Orders received by 11 a.m. are delivered to your chosen location the next day. .
The minimum order quantity is 16 boxes.

Delivery

The ThermoCare Boxes are delivered free of charge at the preset temperature range and can be used immediately.

Shipping

You send us the shipment data electronically, e.g. via DataTransfer, WebService Barcode or the «Domestic parcel labels» online service.
We collect the filled boxes from you, or you can deliver them yourself to one of logistics centers. If required, the consignment can be secured using seals. The consignments are transported using Swiss Post’s standard parcel service.

The available shipping methods are:

  • SameDay afternoon: same-day delivery by 5 p.m on main Swiss business routes
  • Swiss-Express «Moon»: delivery on the next day by 9 a.m. throughout Switzerland, including Saturdays
  • PostPac Priority: delivery on the following day throughout Switzerland; Saturday delivery also possible

Delivery

Our mail carrier brings the filled ThermoCare Box to the recipient who empties it and immediately hands it back to the mail carrier. We then clean the ThermoCare Boxes and prepare them for the next order.

Who is this service for and preconditions

The ThermoCare Box is suitable for legally-compliant shipping of human or veterinary medicines in accordance with GDP guidelines.

What you need:

  • A billing relationship with Swiss Post and a valid franking licence for parcel post and express delivery.
  • A login for swisspost.ch and a registration for the «Order Dispobox» online service
  • An individual conditions form from Swiss Post
  • A Quality Agreement signed by both parties

You need to consider the following:

  • Minimum order quantity: 16 units (=1 wheeled container) Delivery is free of charge.
  • ThermoCare Boxes should be sent quickly so that they can return to the pool within ten days.
  • ThermoCare Boxes are the property of Post CH Ltd and may not be shipped with any other company.
  • After placing the goods in the box, thoroughly pad out any gaps. We do not accept liability for any damage caused as a result of insufficient padding.
  • No labels, adhesive tape or other markings may be used on ThermoCare Boxes outside the label supports.
  • Electronic transfer of the consignment data via DataTransfer, the Barcode web service or the “Domestic parcel labels” online service is compulsory.
  • Consignments cannot be addressed to P.O. Boxes, My Post 24 or poste restante.
  • Recipient services are not permitted (forwarding, selective redirection etc.)

For the “ThermoCare Cold” value-added service, a charge of CHF 20.00 excluding VAT is applied.

The following services are not included in the price for the “ThermoCare Cold” value-added service:

  • Price for basic service used (PostPac PRIORITY, Swiss-Express “Moon” or SameDay afternoon)
  • Price for other value-added services or delivery instructions
  • Price for collections, either regular or upon request
