Benefit from special conditions under certain circumstances
Price reductions and discounts for letters
As a business customer, correctly prepared letter volumes will see you benefit from price reductions and discounts. This is your reward for supporting efficient processing. The amount deducted depends on annual turnover, mailing criteria and upstream services provided when delivering the letter.
In order to be able to benefit from discounts, rebates and special conditions, you must have a billing relationship with Swiss Post.
From an annual turnover of CHF 100,000.00 (excluding VAT), Swiss Post offers individual conditions that are contractually agreed. The agreement on individual conditions is bound to certain preconditions. These primarily relate to the franking type, the posting and the sender information.

When sending addressed domestic letters featuring the same sender, Swiss Post will offer rewards for the following upstream services per delivery and per dispatch list/delivery note. The discounts may be used in conjunction with other discounts.
- Discount for preliminary sorting by locality and mail carrier district (from 3,000 consignments that qualify for a discount per delivery and per dispatch list/delivery note)
- Pallet discount – for palletization by location and routing area (from 10,000 consignments that qualify for a discount)
- Location discount for posting a consignment in a letter or logistics center (from 10,000 consignments that qualify for a discount)

Sales discounts
Discounts are awarded from an annual turnover of CHF 50,000.00 (excl. VAT) for the following eligible PromoPost products:
- PromoPost Private customers
- PromoPost Private and business customers
- PromoPost Next day
- PromoPost Single- and multi-family homes
- PromoPost Agricultural businesses
- PromoPost Business customer P.O. Boxes
- PromoPost Private and business customer P.O. Boxes
- PromoPost Saturday
- PromoPost Set
Excluded from the discount are surcharges, flat fees, individual customer solutions and rebates.
Sales discounts cannot be combined with other discounts or sales promotion campaigns unless explicitly intended for this purpose (e.g. additional discount for PromoPost Sampling).
Additional discount for PromoPost Sampling
If you send a separate brochure in addition to the sample, you will receive the additional discount for both orders.
This discount is in addition to the sales discount and depends on the consignment volume per order:

Discount eligibility
The agreed conditions apply to the customer who acts as sender (actual ordering party) and is visible as such on the consignment (name and/or logo). The sender details on the consignment must match those on the delivery note. Registered company trademarks belonging to the sender may be included in the calculation of turnover. It is not possible to consolidate brands of different companies and companies with their own legal personality.
Group and holding discounts will not be granted. In particular, the addition of volumes from third parties or various companies and societies with their own legal personality is excluded.
Discount agreement
Discounts are agreed with PromoPost conditions within the contract for postal and logistics services.
Rebates for upstream services
Swiss Post rewards use of the following upstream services by the sender when mailing PromoPost consignments.
- Rebate for direct drop-off in one of the three letter centers: CHF 4.50 per 1,000 copies
- Rebate for direct drop-off in a logistics center: CHF 3.00 per 1,000 copies
Rebate for PromoPost OnSerts
Do you regularly send over 1 million promotional mailings to private customers on a weekly or fortnightly basis, with delivery from Tuesday to Wednesday? We can then arrange for our subsidiary, Direct Mail Company, to prepare your material electronically for dispatch to the delivery offices. We will grant you a rebate for this.

Invoicing as a PromoPost Set
If you acquire promotional mailings from different senders, you can send them to us as a set for processing and delivery to private customers receptive to advertising. The basic price for a set of up to 25 g is twice the price of a single consignment in the “PromoPost Private customers” offer.
Orders for consignments that are not regularly delivered in a consistent distribution zone must be placed with your customer advisor at least 14 days prior to the required delivery days.
Preconditions
- You generate minimum annual revenue of CHF 50,000 (excluding VAT) with PromoPost products eligible for discounts.
- You have an existing billing relationship with Swiss Post.
