In our “Locations and opening hours” online service, you can find out:
- where your nearest branch is located
- when your nearest branch is open

Are you often not at home when the mail carrier calls? You can manage when you receive your consignments.
You have the following options:
- Extend the delivery period
- Request a second attempted delivery
- Forward the consignment to another address
- Arrange for someone to collect the consignment on your behalf. Please note that the person you ask needs the collection note and an authorization.

- Courier items
- SameDay afternoon
- SameDay evening
- Items delivered by a different company (e.g. DHL, DPD, FedEx, UPS)
- Unregistered letters
Consignments without a barcode
If you have a letter or parcel containing goods that’s correctly addressed but doesn’t have a barcode, and you post it at a My Post 24 terminal, Swiss Post will affix the barcode and deposit the consignment in the My Post 24 terminal indicated on the address. Swiss Post will then notify the recipient that the consignment is ready to be collected. International consignments that don’t have a barcode or contain goods will be delivered by Swiss Post to the recipient’s address.

Consignments without a barcode
Has someone sent you a letter or a consignment containing goods via an access point with PickPost? If there is no barcode on the item, Swiss Post will affix one, deposit the item at the relevant PickPost point and notify you. We deliver international consignments that do not contain goods or have a barcode directly to your private address.
Accepted:
Precondition: Your consignment is delivered by Swiss Post
- Parcels up to 30 kg
- Registered letters
- A Mail Plus letter mail
- International consignments (e.g. international consignments with goods or PRIORITY Plus). Please ask the sender whether Swiss Post has been chosen to deliver the item.
- Swiss-Express “Moon”
- Receiving wine with “VinoLog”
Not accepted:
- Courier consignments
- SameDay afternoon
- SameDay evening
- Delivery by a different company (e.g. DHL, DPD, FedEx, UPS)
- Consignments that require an ID check or contract signing
- Unregistered letters
Note: A small number of online shops do not allow their consignments to be delivered to access points with the PickPost/My Post 24/PickPost service or forwarded to these access points with “My consignments”.
Consignments without barcode
If there is no barcode on a correctly addressed letter or on an international consignment containing goods sent to a PickPost access point, Swiss Post will deposit the item at the relevant PickPost access point and notify the customer. Swiss Post delivers international consignments that do not have a barcode or contain goods to the recipient’s home.
You will need:
- the consignment number – you will receive this via e-mail and/or SMS, along with the proof of notification
- a valid, official form of identification – members of your family who have the same last name and a valid, official form of ID may also collect consignments for you
